Merger Policy

Our overall goal is to play smarter and not harder in an organized fashion. Alot of money and time can go into this game, so we work towards doing things the best ways experience has taught us. Our core administrators started playing when Server 13 opened, and many of our leaders have been playing for years.

We often merge guilds into our guild family, and merged 11 guilds into our guilds in 2021 alone. We are experts at building high level endgame guilds, and have a recruiting apparatus that extends to every server. The Knights of the Dragon recruit primarily server transfers who tend to be older players. The average age is typically well over 30 in nearly all of our guilds, and often higher than that.

We HAVE operated as many as 7 guilds on the same server, at one point putting 4 into Gold and 2 into Silver. It was FUN. It was Friendly. It was BALANCED. Why? Because we had oversight of balancing it and all of us are friends.

Our merger policy is:

- We do NOT merge into other guilds. We only accept incoming merges.
- We provide some officers, and train those who want to be officers from your guild to become officers on a fast track.
- We can provide generals to lead all wars and/or include current generals who we train. We do often promote the previous generals.
- We provide GMs. We have officers who become generals and want to become GMs. They work their way up the ranks, they know our system, they know our rules. We do all the work, all the recruiting, all the transfer coordination. The guilds we build become Dragon guilds with a Dragon banner and a Dragon GM, and our GMs work together to coordinate transfers between guilds, recruiting, and related. We need this proven level of communication.
- There are few scenarios where a guild merges into our system and the previous GM remains as GM. There are no scenarios in which an outsider becomes GM of our flagship guild Order of the Dragon.
- We manage personnel. We need to look at titan element, activity, Asgard damage, and so forth. We do this on a regular basis, and have tremendous experience doing so.

How does a merger actually occur?
After we receive a positive response to a merge proposal, we move quickly to prep and plan for a merger on a weekend to be determined. We coordinate and plan this merger, and in cases which involve server transferring, we instruct everyone on how to transfer and provide all the details.

- Server transfers and merges can begin as early as Friday evening if there is no promotional guild war in certain cases.
- Most mergers occur on Saturday, typically after promotional guild wars conclude, and must happen rather rapidly due to Asgard.
- Any person who is moving must make sure they have done their Asgard attacks and, if server transferring, use up all their Artifact Chest Keys in the zeppelin.
